About Me

I have been visually impaired since birth and there has always been a silent expectation that I would someday teach blind children. However, I prefer to follow my own path. I studied creative writing and accessible design during my under-grad, then focused my graduate studies on adult learning; designing a framework for developing accessible and inclusive e-learning content, called Universal Design for eLearning (UDEL).

I have worked as an Assistive Technology Instructor at a blindness non-profit, Accessibility Tester for multiple large corporations, and a Disability Support Services Program Assistant at a community college. The key themes that i enjoyed the most about my previous work have been promoting electronic accessibility, providing instruction to others, and solving problems. Some additional themes that I want my next career endeavor to include are performing digital accessibility testing (with screen readers) on web and mobile, writing, and creative projects.
